The late Jason Mass, graduated Cum Laude from Hillsdale College, a top ranked conservative liberal arts college in the Judeo-Christian heritage, known for its independence and free market thinking, with a dual degree in Economics (Classical Economic Theory) and Business Administration/Finance. At Hillsdale , Mr. Mass lettered in three collegiate sports, Baseball, Track and Field - Decathlon and Golf.
He had achieved the distinguished status of Certified Purchasing Manager, Lifetime Member (C.P.M.) by the Institute for Supply Management, ISM, Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) and Business Energy Professional, (BEP) by the Association of Energy Engineers, Lifetime Member.
In 1997, Mr. Mass founded J. Andrew Associates, Inc., a professional Cost Reduction and Purchasing Consulting firm which specialized in negotiating savings for clients in multitudes of areas. After 7 years of deep Telecommunications experience, widespread deregulation of the Retail Energy Industry occurred. Mr. Mass recognized the future Consumer confusion in the marketplace and the demand for a consulting firm which could "sort it all out" and serve the client. To this end, in 2004, he founded Seven - Utility Management Consultants, LLC, which is one of the most successful Utility Management firms in the nation. He sold the firm in 2016, missed the action of serving clients, and started again in 2020 until his death on the 15th of April 2023.
Jason left his 3 sons to continue his legacy. With Riley, the oldest, proudly serving in the military for 7 plus years with multiple deployments, Logan and Casey decided to continue their father’s business. Logan, the youngest, graduated early from high school, completing trade school, and working as a certified mechanic for 3 years. Casey pursued multiple colleges out of high school, including community college, welding school and university, and interned at Mass Enterprises with his father.
Although Casey and Logan are novice to the world of procurement, refund analysis and sustainability, they are eager to create future business endeavors with the knowledge and experience their father has given them. Logan and Casey share a similar set of leadership qualities that include personal and professional integrity, customer service, oral and written communication, problem solving ability, and a broad understanding of human nature. Moved by a strong and urgent desire, the brothers look to enhance their knowledge of strategic partnership/supplier certification, strategic planning, the ability to analyze and evaluate business situations.
Logan's personal interests include music (drums), rock climbing, hunting and recreational automotive activities. Casey’s personal interests include music (bass), rock climbing, traditional/disc golf, rollerblading and cycling. Although the passing of Jason was sudden and unfortunate, his sons are ready to seize this opportunity and strive to exceed their fathers’ expectations.
